This document is a course supplement: it is not a complete course. Further study requires the assistance of an instructor, and furthermore, a number of topics have not been covered.

The content of this document is derived from the course "Introduction to Web Programming in Java." The structure of both documents is the same. We have simply replaced the Java code with PHP code. For readers familiar with both Java and PHP, these two documents allow for a comparison of a Java solution and a PHP solution for the same problem.

Students will find in this document the information they need to work independently for the most part.
