9. Resolving the three issues with DeepSeek
9.1. Introduction

- In [1], the DeepSeek URL [https://chat.deepseek.com/];
- In [2], your history. To access it, you need to create an account (free as of Sept. 2025);
- In [3], your question;
- In [4], to attach files to your query;
- In [5], to submit your question;
9.2. Problem 1
The question:
![]() |
DeepSeek’s answer leaves something to be desired. It is less accurate than those generated by other AIs.
9.3. Problem 2
The question:
![]() |
The first answer is incorrect. Let’s try again:
![]() |
The next answer is slightly better:
![]() |
The next response is very disappointing. Almost all the tests fail. In DeepSeek’s responses, we don’t sense the certainty of the first AIs tested. It seems as though the AI itself doubts the accuracy of its answers. Furthermore, it feels like DeepSeek isn’t thinking. It gives an answer very quickly, whereas ChatGPT took minutes to think. Perhaps a configuration issue.

This time it’s better. There’s only one failure left, within two euros. Other AIs have failed this same test with the same two-euro discrepancy. We’ll consider DeepSeek’s script to be correct.
9.4. Problem 3
The question
![]() |
This time, no more PDFs. DeepSeek will have to look up the calculation rules online.
First attempt: all 25 tests fail. Let’s try again.
![]() |
All 25 tests fail again.
![]() |
Once again, 25 tests failed. We give up and conclude that DeepSeek was unable to solve Problem 3 within a reasonable amount of time.
